For years, whenever I needed to book a flight, the first website I opened was Skyscanner.

Like most travelers, I believed it was showing me the cheapest possible flight options available. After all, that's the whole reason people use flight comparison websites in the first place.

The goal is simple.

You want to compare flights from multiple airlines and booking platforms, then choose the cheapest and most convenient option.

However, over the last few years, I started noticing something interesting.

Whenever I compared the same route, same dates, and same destination across multiple flight search engines, the results were often very different.

In many cases, some surprisingly good deals were not appearing prominently in Skyscanner searches. Instead, I was seeing more expensive options at the top of the results.

Now, I'm not saying Skyscanner is bad. I still check it occasionally. But I no longer depend on it as my primary flight search tool.

Today, before booking any flight, I use two other websites that have become part of my regular travel planning process.

Website #1: LetsFG

LetsFG

LetsFG is one of the most interesting flight search tools I've discovered recently.

What I like is that it focuses heavily on searching across multiple flight sources and presenting a wider range of options. The platform is designed around programmatic flight search and allows users to compare live flight results quickly. (GitHub)

Whenever I'm researching routes, especially international flights, LetsFG often helps me uncover options that I may have overlooked elsewhere.

The interface is simple, fast, and focused entirely on helping users find flight choices without unnecessary clutter.

Website #2: FlySoar AI

FlySoar AI

The second website I've been using regularly is FlySoar AI.

As the name suggests, it takes a more AI-driven approach to flight discovery and search. The platform focuses on helping travelers find flights, deals, and search results through a streamlined experience. (Soar)

What I personally like is that it gives me another source of data before making a final booking decision.

Many travelers make the mistake of checking only one website and assuming they've found the best possible deal.

I prefer comparing results across multiple platforms before spending my money.

Why I Use Multiple Flight Search Engines

One thing I've learned after years of traveling is that no single website has a monopoly on the best flight deals.

Every search engine has its own partnerships, algorithms, and way of displaying results.

That's why I never rely on a single source.

My current process looks something like this:

  1. Search on Google Flights.

  2. Check LetsFG.

  3. Compare results on FlySoar AI.

  4. Verify prices directly on the airline's website.

  5. Book wherever the final value makes the most sense.

This takes a few extra minutes, but it often gives me a much clearer picture of what's actually available.

My Final Thoughts

If you're only checking one website before booking a flight, you're probably limiting your options.

Today there are many flight search tools available, and each one can surface different routes, airlines, combinations, and prices.

For me, LetsFG and FlySoar AI have become two useful additions to my travel toolkit.

They're free to use, easy to access, and provide another layer of comparison before making a booking decision.

The next time you're planning a trip, don't stop at the first flight search result you see.

Spend a few extra minutes comparing multiple sources.

You might be surprised by what you find.
